What is the ALW program?
Since March 2006, Medi-Cal’s assisted living care of disabled and aged residents qualifies under the Assisted Living Waiver (ALW) program. The program’s ultimate aim is to provide facilities to low-income Medi-Cal seniors who would otherwise have to relocate to a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
The level of care and services are determined by our team using standardized assessment tools. We access your requirements and provide you with a personalized service plan that includes services covered by Medi-Cal or other sources.
